The Ministry of Culture of the City of Buenos Aires, together with Fundación Medifé, organized a series of talks titled: Conversaciones. Encuentros por la pospandemia.
These conversations brought together intellectuals from diverse fields to discuss the social landscape in the aftermath of the pandemic. They explored emerging challenges and reflected on what lies ahead. Some of the topics addressed included: the perception of time during isolation, education and cultural consumption at home, environmental disruption, the challenges of remote work and virtual life, and the need to rethink urban spaces.
For this project, my role was to design the visual identity of the series, create digital assets for various social media platforms promoting the talks, as well as cover art for Spotify and a range of motion graphic pieces.
The core concepts that guided the design process were:
The visual identity created for this series aims to reflect the thoughtful nature of the talks, the exchange of perspectives, and the speakers’ diverse viewpoints.
Punctuation marks play a central role in the visual system, symbolizing the ongoing dialogue and debate. Transparency in the graphic elements serves as a metaphor for the varied perspectives and opinions shared throughout the series.
The contrast between typefaces creates a harmonious link between the classical and the contemporary — a visual representation of the transition from pre-pandemic to post-pandemic life. The color palette is both attention-grabbing and introspective, contributing to a fresh and contemporary design that invites viewers to engage with this series of thought-provoking conversations.
Additionally, I developed a visual proposal for the book compiling these talks. The visual concept was proposed as a starting point, though it wasn’t fully applied in the final version.
