ARTIST Angela Leiva BRANDING MOTION GRAPHICS Image manipulation Ángela Leiva is one of the most renowned and promising voices in Argentina’s tropical music scene. Over the course of her career, she has toured extensively throughout Argentina, Bolivia, Uruguay, Peru, Mexico, the United States, and Spain. Since her debut in 2008, she has steadily built a strong fan base and growing popularity. In 2020, she won the prestigious Premio Carlos Gardel for Best Tropical Artist Album—a major milestone in her career. In 2021, she made her acting debut in La 1-5/18, the most-watched prime time soap opera on Argentine television. She also collaborated with legendary Mexican cumbia band Los Ángeles Azules on a hit version of El listón de tu pelo. My role as a graphic designer for Ángela Leiva includes the creation of single, EP, and album covers; visual content for live shows; digital assets for social media promotion; and printed materials and signage. Each project with Ángela is an opportunity to build a unique visual universe aligned with the emotional, conceptual, and aesthetic aspects of each release or artistic stage. The design reflects the artistic maturity she has gained throughout her career. The visual concept captures this duality—looking back while moving forward—through elegant compositions, refined lighting, and a cohesive color palette that evokes both nostalgia and evolution. Each cover design highlights Ángela’s emotional presence and strength, positioning her as both the storyteller and the protagonist of her musical legacy. Each element contributed to crafting a cohesive and emotionally resonant visual identity for this release. PROJECT Luna park en vivo In December 2022, Ángela Leiva performed for the first time at Estadio Luna Park, one of the most iconic music venues in Argentina. This show marked a milestone in her career, solidifying her status as one of the country’s most prominent voices in popular music. The concert served as the grand finale of her successful 2022 tour and featured an emotionally charged setlist of her greatest hits that deeply moved the audience. The scale of the event led to a live recording of the show, later released in April 2023 as an album titled En Vivo Estadio Luna Park. The production includes 12 tracks performed with all the emotional intensity and stage power of the moment. More than just a live album, this release celebrates a moment of artistic maturity and deep connection with her audience. The visual identity of En Vivo Estadio Luna Park was designed to capture the vibrant energy of the performance and highlight Ángela Leiva’s commanding stage presence. The artwork features intense colors and dynamic gradients that evoke the movement and emotion of a live show, with each cover design capturing a significant moment from the concert. One of the show’s strongest visual elements was Ángela’s wardrobe, which changed with every song, bringing a rich, expressive color palette to the stage. This diversity of outfits became a central visual resource for the project, emphasizing the theatrical nature of the show and reinforcing its emotional and celebratory spirit. Both the graphic and audiovisual treatments of the album draw inspiration from the concept of a snapshot—as if each design captured a fleeting, electrifying moment of the performance. The stop-motion–inspired aesthetic used in the videos supports this idea, creating a visual narrative composed of frozen flashes of emotion. Bold typography, enhanced with vibrant color effects, gives prominence to each song title, turning every graphic piece into a visual keepsake of an unforgettable night.
